The achievements of FDS Consult UK have seen it shortlisted for a major 2015 industry award.
Selected by a panel of judges, FDS Consult UK (FDSC) is joined by seven other companies competing for the title of Engineering Consultancy of the Year in the Construction News Awards 2015.
The decision takes into account the company’s achievements in 2014, which was its most successful trading year to date and saw considerable growth.
As well as increasing its headcount with the addition of two new engineers, 2014 also saw the opening of FDSC’s London office, making it even easier for clients and design teams to meet.
Throughout the year the company continued to prove the benefits of adopting an engineered approach to fire design. The success of this approach to projects is reflected in high repeat business figures, with 72% of business received coming from previous customers, while the client base continues to grow.
The judges also took into account FDSC’s work at The Corniche, an impressive mixed-use development situated on the Thames’ Albert Embankment.
By taking an innovative, engineered approach it was possible to create a full, detailed design and fire strategy to ensure that building regulations were met, while also providing cost savings and space maximisation.
The winner of the Construction News Awards’ Engineering Consultancy of the Year category will be announced on 30th of June 2015.
