We had recently emailed you with an update concerning the status of FDS Consult’s Professional Indemnity Insurance cover (PII). Despite this, we would like to reassure you that whilst FDS Consult no longer holds PII, all other insurances remain in place. FDS Consult UK and all other FDS Group companies are unaffected and will continue to operate as normal, with all current projects under FDS Consult UK, Fire Design Solutions, FDS Contracting and FDS Maintenance still covered, by PII.
FDS Consult Limited’s difficulties in obtaining PII were not price driven, but due to a hardening insurance market and a significant reduction in capacity and risk appetite as a result of Covid-19 and Grenfell. Our brokers are continually monitoring the situation to attempt to overcome this and obtain a suitable policy.
